A Message from
the President

Winter, 2011

President
Ryan Rohloff '08

I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve our Delta Lambda Chapter in its highest position, SMC. Since becoming a Brother in 2008, I have been motivated to improve our chapter and make it bigger and better than ever before. As the newly elected President I am in position to continue to strengthen our proud dynasty.

Monthly PIKE 'Bro-Fest'

One of the early 'Bro-fests' took place at a local eatery in Tallahassee on August 26, 2010. This one even drew Pike alumni from other chapters. Reunion Chairman Jimmy Keen's vision is to hold informal gatherings on a designated Thursday once a month, after work. Other successful 'Bro-fests' have been held in South Florida.

Bro-Fest has proven to be very popular around the state. Sign up with Jimmy Keen '73 to receive his e-mail notices on the fourth Thursday of eac month, and watch the Florida State Delta Lambda Chapter Facebook for notices of Bro-Fests in other locations. Jimmy can be reached by phone at: 850/385-3503.

Florida Governor Charlie Crist '76 visited the Chapter house on February 17 to tour the property and to speak to the Chapter. He thanked the undergraduates for their continuing support and discussed his campaign for United States Senate. Charlie was a major donor of both time and money to the Legends Campaign which raised more than $2 million for the new house. His duties as Governor have prevented him from seeing the finished product, so he was given a blue-ribbon tour by SMC Jarrod Germano and his executive officers.

Past SMC David Rancourt '84 joined Governor Crist at the house. Rancourt is the founding partner of Southern Strategies, the largest governmental lobbying operation in the southern United States.
