Winter,

Brothers,
I am privileged
to have the opportunity to serve our Delta Lambda Chapter in its
highest position, SMC. Since becoming a Brother in 2008, I have
been motivated to improve our chapter and make it bigger and better
than ever before. As the newly elected President I am in position
to continue to strengthen our proud dynasty. Through my years
as a Brother I have been fortunate enough to take part in winning
three consecutive Robert Adger Smythe trophies, two Overall Intramural
Sports championships, one FSU Presidents Cup, four excellent pledge
classes filled with scholars, leaders, athletes, and gentlemen,
the best fraternity social events on campus, and a strong fraternal
Brotherhood.
You can be proud to know that Pi Kappa Alpha remains the leader
among Florida State's IFC fraternities. We look to our new Rush
Chairman, Brett Hagler to continue the tradition of dominance
during Rush to bring in another high-quality spring pledge class.
On campus,
Pike Brother Dustin Daniels just concluded his term as
Student Body President this spring, and now he is succeeded by
Brother Avi Assidon who will serve as President for 2011-2012.
Four of the last seven Student Body Presidents have been Pikes.
Delta Lambda Brothers hold many powerful and influential political
offices on campus.

Executive Council leaders, pictured above include: Austin Cole,
Marcus Atherton, Alex Needelman, Keaton Klinge, Brett Hagler,
Austin Albury, Brett Russi, Kory Kubaki, Nick Carew, Austin Black
and Nick Allphin.
In Intramurals,
Delta Lambda secured a Volleyball All-Campus Championship as well
as a 3v3 Soccer All-Campus Championship. Going into the spring
semester we are 1st place in the Overall IM standings. We expect
to field strong basketball, soccer, and softball teams this spring
as we work to recapture the Intramural sports crown.
Delta Lambda continues to be a leader in recruiting varsity athletes
to our ranks. Safety Nick Moody and Linebacker Christian
Jones helped anchor the Florida State defense this year, while
cornerback/returner Greg Reid is electrifying every time
he touches the ball. Fullback Lonnie Pryor scored six touchdowns
this past season and was called the most dependable running back
on the roster by his coaches. All-American Drew Kittleson
along with Wes Graham anchor the Golf team while New Zealand
born All-American David Ambler is a track star along with
fellow All-American Brandon Byram. Seminole football, basketball,
baseball, track, tennis, hockey, rugby, soccer and volleyball
all count Pikes as members, and the Seminole Lacrosse team is
loaded with Delta Lambda Brothers.
It's
a great time to be a Pike at Florida State, and with our new Executive
Council, I have every reason to believe the excellence we have
come to expect will continue into the future. If you have any
questions, concerns, or just want an update on our chapter, feel
free to contact me or any of the new executive council.
In the bonds
of Phi Phi K A,
