Pi Kappa Alpha: The Standard of Excellence
The Pi Kappa Alpha journey began on a quiet Sunday evening in March 1868. Inspired by a vision of lifelong friendship and support, Frederick Southgate Taylor, along with Littleton Waller Tazewell and a close group of friends, transformed an idea into a brotherhood that now spans generations and campuses.
At Pi Kappa Alpha, our guiding philosophy is “Pursue Excellence Always, in All Ways.” Pike brotherhood is founded on core values that challenge high-achieving young men to succeed academically, lead with integrity, compete with purpose, and live as gentlemen; core values that are represented by the acronym S.L.A.G. ​
